Cosmic Treadmill, Episode 7 - New Teen Titans: The Judas Contract
Thursday Feb 22, 2018
Thursday Feb 22, 2018
Another week... another episode from the "completionist collection". Hey, if you've never listened to Cosmic Treadmill, Episode 25 (and shame on you, if that's the case) this one's New To You!
Take a trip back with Reggie (@reggiereggie) and Chris (@acecomics) to the days when the Titans took in the traitorous Terra! They run down all of her appearances leading up to her betrayal... and go longform on the Judas Contract event. After that, they chatter on about Terra's legacy... and at least one of them pops a few blood vessels at the very thought that she'd ever be brought back. Jokes on him, many times over by this point!

Cosmic Treadmill, Episode 78 - Avengers Spotlight #23 (1989)

Sunday Feb 18, 2018
Good evening, late-nite listeners! Heeeere's Chris (@AceComics) and Reggie (@reggiereggie) bringing you another deep dive into a comic book, this one specially chosen by Aaron Anderson: Avengers Spotlight #23 from Marvel Comics! After the usual biographies for Howard Mackie, Al Milgrom, John Byrne and Kieron Dwyer, the Hollywood Kids read both stories contained in this issue--the second one of the first appearances of The Vision in his all-white look! Then they talk about an old rural discount chain from whence Aaron's issue derived, and wrap up with a list of superheroes that had arguably unfortunate changes to their standard costumes. Even one character that never really had a standard costume! It's a great show, ladies and gentlemen, we hope you'll tune in for the duration.

Cosmic Treadmill, Episode 3 - New Teen Titans #38 (Who is Donna Troy?)
Thursday Feb 15, 2018
Thursday Feb 15, 2018
Happy belated Valentine's Day folks... today Chris (@acecomics) and Reggie (@reggiereggie) deliver a gift in the form of... well, the gift Terry Long wanted to give to Donna Troy... namely, finding out just who in the world she is!
We know what you're thinking... "Didn't we already get this one as part of Teen Titans Medley?" and the answer is, yes. Unfortunately one of your Cosmic Treadmillers is a bit obsessive about the numbering (we won't reveal which one), and so you're getting it all by its lonesome. Join us for a half-hour and revisit this beloved classic story.

Cosmic Treadmill, Episode 77 - Heart Break Comics (1984)
Sunday Feb 11, 2018
Sunday Feb 11, 2018
Hello and good day to you, comics enthusiasts! This week, our North American hosts Chris (@AceComics) and Reggie (@reggiereggie) travel North of the border and read a tale of romance, betrayal, and tough-as-nails milkmen in Heart Break Comics (1984) by David Boswell! After some biographical details and a brief introduction to the World's Toughest Milkman, they detail all 40 pages of Heart Break Comics, including voices for all the strange characters in this world. After cleaning up some spilled milk, our pair deliver a history of Canadian comics dating back to the 18th Century and continuing almost to the present day! Plus: a piece of listener mail! It's better than a Tim Horton's Maple Claw! Okay, it's not that good, to be honest.

Cosmic Treadmill, Episode 76 - Monster vol. 1 (1994)
Sunday Feb 04, 2018
Sunday Feb 04, 2018
Konichiwa, comics enthusiasts! This week, Chris (@AceComics) sends Reggie (@reggiereggie) into unfamiliar territory and tasks him with reading his first ever tankobon collection of manga: Naoki Urasawa's Monster vol. 1! Originally published in Japan in 1994, then translated and republished in North America in 2006, our fellows read all eight chapters of that first volume, after a creator bio and a very brief description of manga. Then, they tell the rest of the story, as detailed in seventeen further volumes, and conclude with a look at advancements in neuroscience that were not necessarily expected...or perhaps entirely warranted. It's a spooky gross-out of an episode, so be sure to listen with your significant other!
