Cosmic Treadmill, Episode 148 - Wally Wood's Gang Bang #1 (1980)
Sunday Aug 30, 2020
Sunday Aug 30, 2020
Hello to our gorgeous patrons listeners! Here's your "dirty" episode of Cosmic Treadmill for the month week--and boy, this one is filthy. There's a pretty good bio of Wally Wood in here, with lots of quotes from friends and colleagues, and the main event... well, it's gross. But we provide background on all the intellectual properties that get parodied, so it's almost educational!
It should go without saying, that... this will be a "spicy" episode, and listener discretion is strongly advised! You'll get several warnings over the course of the first few minutes of the show... please heed them if you're concerned about looking like a weirdo listening to two grown men play-act several mature... err, creepy comic scenarios... with some classic characters!

Chris is on Infinite Earths, Episode 38: Uncanny X-Men #308 (1994)
Friday Aug 28, 2020
Friday Aug 28, 2020
Uncanny X-Men #308 is one of my very favorite single-issues ever created... and is the reason why I'll pretty much always buy anything with Scott Lobdell's name attached to it.
Why then did it take so long for me to cover? Well, we'll get into that here (eventually). Today I share some personal anecdotes about the times I'd visited with this issue... and how it will always hold a special place in my heart.
It's like two hours of me talking to myself about mental health and the X-Men... what's not to love? (Please listen anyway!)

Cosmic Treadmill, Episode 147 - Omaha the Cat Dancer #1 (1984)
Sunday Aug 23, 2020
Sunday Aug 23, 2020
Good evening, comics enthusiasts! In this episode, humanoid weevils Chris (@AceComics) and Reggie (@reggiereggie) get very uncomfortable when they cover the Kitchen Sink Comics reprint of "Omaha" the Cat Dancer from 1986! We cover every sexy page...and probably spend too much time on the dialogue. It's a scintillating episode that is sure to have you looking at your pets strangely, so don't miss it!
It should go without saying, that... this will be a "spicy" episode, and listener discretion is strongly advised! You'll get several warnings over the course of the first few minutes of the show... please heed them if you're concerned about looking like a weirdo listening to two grown men play-act several mature... err, creepy comic scenarios... with CATS!

Morituri Mondays, Episode 26 - Strikeforce: Morituri #26 (2/89)
Monday Aug 17, 2020
Monday Aug 17, 2020
In our not-so-milestone 26th episode, the War we've been following for the past couple of years draws to a close... with sort of a whimper! The new aliens beat the old aliens... and our Morituri Warriors sorta play second fiddle to the whole dealio! What could be left for our heroes, as we enter a time of... peace?! It certainly can't be that easy... could it?
Also: Aunt May rules the World, Trick-or-Treating for UNICEF, Loss-Prevention, Rappin' bout Retail, The New People as a precursor to LOST, and how the Max Headroom Incident is to blame for one of the Chris's never finding out what a TARDIS is! All 'at and much more!

Cosmic Treadmill, Episode 146 - Cherry Poptart #1 (1982)
Sunday Aug 16, 2020
Sunday Aug 16, 2020
Hello Everybody!
We're kicking off the FINAL FIVE episodes of Chris and Reggie's Cosmic Treadmill with a "new to most" episode from deep in our formerly top-secret "Cosmic Treadmill After Dark" Patreon Archives.
Cherry Poptart #1 was actually the first ever request Reggie and I received... way back in the long ago. We put it off for quite a while, for reasons that might become apparent should you choose to listen to this episode! This wound up being how we kicked off our then-exclusive After Dark series... of which, I will be sharing three more episodes over the course of the next three Sundays.
It should go without saying, that... this will be a "spicy" episode, and listener discretion is strongly advised! You'll get several warnings over the course of the first few minutes of the show... please heed them if you're concerned about looking like a weirdo listening to two grown men play-act several mature... err, creepy comic scenarios!

Morituri Mondays, Episode 25 - Strikeforce: Morituri #25 (1/89)
Monday Aug 10, 2020
Monday Aug 10, 2020
Welcome, friends to a Morituri Milestone... the twenty-fifth episode of Morituri Mondays (we apologize for not covering ourselves in glitter and holograms... but, you can probably fit us both in a bag of some sort)!
This time out we're taking a step back from the ongoing war between the Earth and the Horde, and watching as our current team sorta-kinda falls apart! We've got new members, we've got deaths, we've got some backroom shenanigans from the Paideia... we've got the return (a-hem) of Peter B. Gillis and Brent Anderson... what more could you want?
Also: We put Rich Little to shame with our impersonation skills, chat up scary breakfast cereals, Konami's Life Force, Marvel's Assistant Editor Bootcamp (which seemingly caused them to miss many little errors that we will giddily point out), and much much more!

Hey folks! In a wildly outdated episode Chris and Reggie get frank about... well, a comics industry rumor. It's nothing we would cover on the main show--heck, we weren't even sure it was going to happen as described in the comics' media! Thankfully it didn't! But we still had our opinions about it, boy howdy, Have a listen to 'em!
I'd like the listeners to know that this was the final bit of audio Reggie and I ever recorded together... I truly hope you enjoy it.

Morituri Mondays, Episode 24 - Strikeforce: Morituri #24 (12/88)
Monday Aug 03, 2020
Monday Aug 03, 2020
Remember that beacon that Dr. Tuolema set off in the very last pages of the Gillis & Anderson run? Did you think our new creative team was just going to let that fall by the wayside? Well... so did we. Thankfully, that wasn't the case... and here is where those chickens will start coming home to roost!
Strikeforce: Morituri #24 is another solid issue of the post-G&A run... and we hope you'll decide to give it a try (or, a retrial, as it were). We've got new aliens, new recruits, and a new direction... that doesn't outright contradict the old one. All that, and the (brief) return of... Will DeGuchi! What more could we ask for... well, besides Gillis and Anderson, of course.
Also: Discussions of ninjas, Airwolf, bubble gum and a whole lot more!
