Cosmic Treadmill, Episode 102 - Age of Apocalypse Part Three: X-Men Chronicles #2 (and finishing half of the issues!) (1995)

Hello mutant rebels! In this episode, extra Horsemen Chris (@AceComics) and Reggie (@reggiereggie) return to the time that might have been in part three of their look at Marvel Comics' 1995 X-Men event, Age of Apocalypse! After some recap, they read both issues of X-Men Chronicles, with special conentration on #2 by Howard Mackie and Ian Churchill! Then, our pen slaves close out the final issues of Astonishing X-Men, Factor X, Generation neXt, and Weapon X, providing biographies for all new characters (and creators) encountered along the way! We're halfway through this huge comic book event, so don't fall asleep during one of Magneto's monologues! Aw, who could blame ya?

Cosmic Treadmill Special: Young Animal "Gatherum", Episode 1

Greetings, Dangerous Humans!  As we are currently in what might just be the final month of DC's Young Animal imprint, your Young and Animalistic hosts, Chris (@acecomics) and Reggie (@reggiereggie) thought it might be fun to share with you their initial thoughts on the launch!  In this extra-sized (or, over-sized) episode they look at all four "number one" issues.  Since the Young Animal launch was staggered from September-November, 2016... there are also a couple of "non-number one" reviews in there as well.

Chris & Reggie SPECIAL - What if... DC's Young Animal #100?!

Hello everyone!
With our sincerest apologies, we report that... due to technical difficulties beyond our control, we were unable to record Part Three (of Five) of our Age of Apocalypse Spectacular.
We appreciate your patience, and we didn't wanna leave you hanging this (or any) Sunday morning... and so, for your listening pleasure... something completely different!
Over at Weird Science DC Comics, your humble hosts Chris (@acecomics) and Reggie (@reggiereggie) host a segment wherein they discuss DC's Young Animal "pop-up" imprint.  During episode #100 of the Weird Science DC Comics Podcast (December 4, 2016), having no actual Young Animal books to discuss (sadly, a fairly common occurrence) they thought it would be fun to, not go BACK TO THE PAST... but, instead... INTO THE FUTURE (hey, the Cosmic Treadmill goes both ways!) and discuss the one-hundredth issues of both Doom Patrol, and Shade the Changing Girl.  Prescient... is not a word often used to describe Chris or Reggie.
We hope you enjoy this bit, and humbly and sincerely apologize for our inability to put out an all-new episode.  Though, if you haven't heard this yet... it's new to you!

Hello, dwellers of an alternate dystopian future! In this Giant-Size episode, dimension-shunters Chris (@AceComics) and Reggie (@reggiereggie) check out Marvel Comics crossover so big, they'll need multiple parts to get through it! It's Age of Apocalypse, part one, specifically dealing with 1995's X-Men Alpha #1 by Scott Lobdell, Mark Waid, Roger Cruz and Steve Epting! After laying down some substantial story groundwork, our pair dive right into biographies for all four creators that are directly involved in X-Men Alpha #1! Cosmic Treadmill, Episode 99 - American Splendor #1 (1976)

Heya, fellow comics enthusiasts! In this episode, everymen Chris (@AceComics) and Reggie (@reggiereggie) do a little gazing at someone else's navel when they read Harvey Pekar's American Splendor #1 from 1976! After some biographical information, peppered with lots of quotes from the subject himself, our pair go through every story in this 52-page anthology, providing information on all of the contributing artists (including Robert Crumb) as they go. Then, after a break, our eavesdroppers discuss the details and impact of American Splendor, and wrap up the life of Harvey Pekar as well. It's an episode packed with the mundanity of life, you don't want to miss it!
