Chris is on Infinite Earths, Episode 33: Team Titans #1's (1992)
Wednesday Jan 22, 2020
Wednesday Jan 22, 2020
Welcome, friends to Super-Blog Team-Up: CHROMIUM... where the gang is going "all-in" on the eras of excess in the comic book industry. I, Your humble host, have decided to take a look at what I consider to be among the more "predatory" gimmicks out of the "Big Two" Publishers. Not only preying upon collectors who require owning each individual variant cover a book is shipped with... but also, including variant-exclusive content within! That's right, folks... if you wanted the "entire story" of Team Titans #1, you would have to buy all-five versions! Tell ya what, that's one expensive Wednesday! Sure glad this didn't catch on!

Blogging... Into the Void, Episode 1: Chris is on Infinite Earths
Friday Dec 20, 2019
Friday Dec 20, 2019
Calling all Bloggers!
Trying something new today here at the channel, as I begin what will hopefully turn into a series of episodes wherein we discuss the trials and frustrations of creating fandom-related content on the internet. After taking a few moments to explain my recent solo-effort absence, I share the history of Chris is on Infinite Earths as well as my life and times as a blogger. It's a story of obsession, fear, doubt and eccentricities... you don't wanna miss it!
If you are a fandom-related content creator, and would like to tell the story of your little slice of the internet, please reach out at @AceComics on Twitter or via email at 90sxmen@gmail.com! I'd be very interested in talking to you on a future episode!

Morituri Mondays, Episode 11 - Strikeforce: Morituri #11 (10/87)
Monday Dec 16, 2019
Monday Dec 16, 2019
And now back to our regularly-scheduled programming. After a bit of a departure last issue, this time out a bit loopier than normal Chris and Chris rejoin the ranks of the Morituri and keep fighting the good fight against the dreaded Horde!
After the shocking revelations of Strikeforce: Morituri #9, it's here that we begin to deal with the fallout. Will our "One to Grow On Man" Louis take the Horde up on their offer of a cure for the Process? What was the deal with Commander Nion collapsing on the job? What in the hell was up with those CATS last issue? The answers for all that... well, two of those questions... and a whole lot more are right here in this very episode!
Also: A visit with a rather salty Larry Hama! Comic book references in 1980's popular culture! Disgusting television shows! Pranks, Gimmicks, Butt-floss and more! A fun time as always, give it a listen!

Morituri Mondays, Episode 10 - Strikeforce: Morituri #10 (9/87)
Monday Dec 09, 2019
Monday Dec 09, 2019
Welcome to the double-digits, friends! And to the first issue of Strikeforce: Morituri that... well, we didn't really care for all that much! If you were hoping for a payoff to the awesome cliffhanger from last issue... well, hmm... please listen anyway? We promise you'll have a good time!
In addition to checking out the issue, we discuss other disappointing cliffhanger moments in media, we get up close and personal with Tom DeFalco and learn about his distaste for stinky freelancers, how one of your humble hosts once dressed up as a Melmacian Alien Life Form, and much much more!
Also: Casting Call! In the grand tradition of Wizard Magazine's Casting Call, we are attempting to cast for the most kick-butt Strikeforce: Morituri feature film, and we're definitely going to need your help to get it right!

Cosmic Treadmill, Episode 145 - Logan's Run #6 (1977)
Sunday Dec 01, 2019
Sunday Dec 01, 2019
Hello, Runners! In this episode, dystopian love slaves Chris (@AceComics) and Reggie (@reggiereggie) examine the future world of hedonism and group suicide when they read Marvel Comics' Logan's Run #6, written by John Warner and drawn by Tom Sutton and Terry Austin! After discussing the film that this series initially adapted, they dive right into the first comic book after that five-issue adaptation that was meant to continue the story, despite the wishes of the movie studio. And while they're at it, our New-You patrons divulge the plot of the seventh and final issue. They talk about why this series was so quickly truncated, then talk about the original novel by William F. Nolan, and the many adaptations and incarnations that resulted over the years. You'll need your running shoes for this one, don't miss it!

Morituri Mondays, Episode 9 - Strikeforce: Morituri #9 (8/87)
Monday Nov 25, 2019
Monday Nov 25, 2019
Greetings, fellow Weekday Warriors!
Morituri Mondays is back, and we're primed to take a look at the ninth issue of Strikeforce: Morituri. After a touching reunion with a feared-dead friend, our team has a pizza party and eventually breaks every rule in the book in order to once again try and protect a certain chocolate factory!
Speaking of chocolate... today Chris and Chris conduct a most scientific challenge ever attempted. It is the great M&Ms vs. Smarties Challenge! Canadian Chris has American Chris try the candy of his homeland... and challenges him to "pick a side" in the bite-sized candy Civil War! It's a story of tragedy, triumph... and cheating on a diet! We challenge y'all to also chime in on your preferred rainbow-colored, melts in your mouth not in your hand type things!
Also: Plenty of back-matter nonsense! A Letters Page! Bullpen Bulletins! A Pro-File on one of the Fifty Most Eligible Bachelors in America (according to Playgirl Magazine)! And much, much more! It's a great time as always, give it a listen!
